The holidays are for eating, am I right? The time between Christmas and New Years is an adult dream – tons of home cooked food, days off from work and people just do whatever they want because hey – new year right? This year doesn’t matter.
Well, I’m over here trying to stay on board at least with modifying high carb, sugary recipes. I tried a new sweetener called KetoseSweet+ recently that worked great for this strawberry shortbread bar recipe. I love that there is a liquid version. A lot of alternative sweeteners have an aftertaste or can sometimes be gritty. Not with this one!
The shortbread is so good by itself but when it’s topped with a whipped cream/cream cheese mixture and strawberry jelly… it’s even better!
I’ll skip all of the small talk and just head right into the recipe! It’s easy, it’s simple and while it may not look like the fanciest thing ever it tastes great and will definitely leave you feeling satisfied. Happy eating!
