Weekly Wishes #1

1 Flares 1 Flares ×

Remember in my post about Salon du Chocolat I mentioned that I had moved on to making weekly goals instead of yearly ones in an effort to motivate myself? Well apparently there is a blog link up for that over at The Nectar Collective… a blog that I started following once I decided I would be jetting off to South Korea. Each week, bloggers link to their Weekly Wish post and discuss what their goals were and how they did on their goals from the previous week.

Weekly Wishes #1
[Chetek, Wisconsin]

Sounds like just what I need! So what are my goals for this week?

This Week’s Wishes

1. Drink four water bottles a day. I have my reusable water bottle with me at work, but time just flies with the kids and I always end up forgetting to refill after I fill it in the morning. My skin and immune system have been taking a beating!

2. Really clean my apartment during the lunar new year holiday. I’ve been putting this off forever… but certain areas in my apartment need some TLC.

3. Wake up 15 minutes earlier than usual during the work week. I used to be doing great but I got sick and got used to waking up just twenty minutes before I needed to be out of the door for work. I really miss getting the chance to wake up slowly and enjoy my breakfast without rushing.

If you need some encouragement each week, link up to the Weekly Wishes link up over at The Nectar Collective. Let’s support each other with our goals while having fun!

  • I just did my first Weekly Wishes today too! I hear you on drinking more water every day. I don’t drink nearly enough either, and by the end of the day I can really feel it. Good luck on your goals this week Autumn!

    • Yay! I really like the idea. Drinking water is so hard… but hey, I used to be addicted to soda and never drank ANY water. So that’s something! Good luck with your goals too, Robyn!

I can relate to all of these! Of course as you saw, cutting back soda is challenging for me. I just DEEP CLEANED the crap out of my apartment and i recently began waking up at 5:30 instead of 5:45. I am going to start trying for 5:10 so that I can get a little bit of exercise in to get my body ready for the day. it relally is nice to slowly wake up instead of being rushed!

glad you joined the linkup, its very helpful!

    • Back when I did it, it was so hard. Wow, you get up really early! I think I would die! Well… if I slept earlier I guess it wouldn’t be a problem. I envy you! I think I’ll slowly start creeping the time up for waking up.

  • Love that photo– I’m from Wisconsin and that picture made me want to visit so bad. This summer! I really have to clean my apartment + do laundry…it’s a disaster area! Working + school have been keeping me busy but I know I need the extra stress gone!

    • Really? I visited there last summer because my Mother’s husband’s family is from Chetek. It’s a really tiny town but I loved it! It’s funny how we put things like that off to avoid stress but it ends up stressing us out anyways… haha.

Welcome to Weekly Wishes. Good luck with your goals this week.

    • Thank you! Good luck to you as well.

  • Oh welcome to weekly wishes!! And wow, 4 bottles is impressive! I’m going to Breckenridge, Colorado in a few weeks so I’m trying to drink lots of water to avoid altitude sickness. But honestly I get tired of having to pee so often! But I know I should because waters so good for you. And cleaning and waking up earlier are fantastic, rewarding goals. Think how proud you’ll be at the end of the week! Can’t wait to follow more of your blog 🙂

    • Yes, I’m going all or nothing on the water haha. I get tired of peeing so often too, especially when I have few breaks at school between teaching the kids! I feel like I’m on a mad dash to the bathroom and I’m always getting interrupted for some reason or the other. Thank you for the follow, I’m looking forward to seeing more from you too! 😀

  • Welcome to the amazingness, I’ve just started, too! Thanks for your comment on my blog – I hope you find time to pick up a book for fun at some point in the future! 🙂

    • I’ve seen a lot of new people this week, yay! I’m hoping I get a hold of The Fault in Our Stars by John Greene soon. A little tricky living in South Korea!

  • Good luck with your wishes!! I so need to get better at drinking more water too…my bottle is 32 ounces and I refill about 3 times throughout a day, I should aim for at least 4. Great goals, good luck!

    • Yes, I decided to go big or go home with the water goal. 😀 I hope you are successful with upping your water intake, too!

  • Welcome to Weekly Wishes! I’m also pretty new, but I’ve already had a great experience. I’ve met several awesome, goal-oriented bloggers throughout my time with this link-up, and I am more inspired than ever!

    • Thank you! I’ve also had a great experience so far, a lot of the members of the link up have took the time to hop on my blog and comment. Very encouraging!

  • Yay! Welcome to Weekly Wishes! I like your thinking on drinking more water and waking up earlier! Both tasks that require some serious commitment but really necessary! Good luck this week!

    • Thank you! It definitely requires some commitment for sure! It was really hard to get started at the beginning of the week but sooo worth it by the end. 🙂

  • Salam! Thank you for following love! I will follow back, nice to meet you! <3

  • These are simple wishes but can be very helpful. I like #1- i should try this too. 🙂
