Wahoo! Spring is finally here! I swear, I never knew how precious warm weather was until I had to be cooped up in a tiny room all day with 3-5 year olds. I practically pray for the sun to come out each and every day just so they can get out there and run off some of their energy! Spring has always been one of my favorite seasons. Other than Autumn (for obvious reasons 😉 ), Spring just makes me feel renewed. I feel like I start making progress on my goals in spring rather than winter when people are usually making their new year’s resolutions. I’m definitely the type that shakes off the winter blues and goes swinging into Spring!
One of my most favorite things to do when warm weather hits is to bring out the icees, ice creams, cold lemonade and popsicles. It reminds me so much of when I was younger and I can’t help but get excited this time of the year. I miss the days when I would go racing down the street in hot pursuit of the ice cream man. It was always a nail biter trying to get money together and flag him down before he got too far away. Now, I rarely ever see an ice cream truck outside. 🙁
I do get to keep one childhood indulgence alive though! My family didn’t have much money growing up, but at some point we started taking an annual trip to King’s Island theme park in Ohio. It was a few hours drive, but man my sister and I waited for this trip all year long. Nothing beats those memories of sugar highs and fast roller coasters with the sun beating down your back. We used to always get an ice cream from Graeters… an Ohio favorite! Their black raspberry flavor is still a favorite of mine and I used to love finding the chunks of chocolate inside of my cup! I couldn’t believe it when I saw that they sold Graeter’s in pints at Kroger! Now I can indulge any time I want to! 😉
There is one little problem though… my teeth are sensitive. Cold things aren’t always my friend. So I avoided eating a lot of my favorite cold things to avoid the pain. Until! I found the Colgate Sensitive Toothbrush and Sensitivity Pen. I love this toothbrush and pen set because it is a proactive way to take care of my teeth so that I can continue to enjoy my favorite ice cream all spring and summer long! The Actis Enamel Pen blocks sensitivity at the source of pain. Simply: Brush, Apply, Go.
Over time the formula builds a barrier so teeth are less prone to sensitivity. Which is something I definitely want! With the gel pen right inside of the toothbrush, it’s easy to fit into my toothbrushing routine at night and in the morning. I’m all about convenience and to be honest… I can be forgetful so having it there inside of the toothbrush is a good reminder for me daily.
The toothbrush even has an extra soft brush head to protect my sensitive teeth. That was something that I didn’t know until a few years ago. I used to pick the medium brush until my dentist told me that basically everyone should be using a soft or extra soft brush head.
I’m so happy I can eat my favorite cold treats with a smile now rather than a grimace from pain. 🙂 If you suffer from sensitivity, the Colgate Sensitive Toothbrush and Sensitivity Pen may work for you!
Many Kroger (and Kroger banner) stores may offer digital coupons for the Colgate Sensitive Toothbrush and Sensitivity Pen so you should definitely check your local store webpage!
