Looking for affordable lodging close to all of the main attractions of Hiroshima? Reino Inn is where it’s at! When you think of staying at a hostel, you don’t usually imagine a relaxing night. It’s kind of awkward being in a room with a whole bunch of other people out in the open.
Reino Inn was a totally different hostel experience. The best part of all is that Reino Inn is basically located in Hiroshima Peace Park, making it easy to reach the main tourist destinations of Hiroshima as well as a few very large shopping areas.
This hostel is very clean, with free internet and awesome showers! The best part is the actual bed itself. It is actually extremely comfortable, especially after a long day of touring the city. A thick, sturdy curtain completely surrounds the bed so it feels like you have your own little pod of privacy. It was super nice! You can rest inside and do whatever you want without the awkwardness of people watching what you are doing.
Reino Inn stores your baggage and provides you with a keyless locker for free. Wifi is also available in every room for those last minute google searches while touring! 😉
I had a great night’s sleep as well because of the privacy curtain. No worries of being caught in an embarrassing position while sleeping! I’m sure no one wants to see me drooling or something like that. Unfortunately, the top bunks at Reino Inn don’t have privacy curtains. I snagged a bottom bunk by getting there a little early and closing the curtain with my stuff inside.
Reino Inn also has a kitchen with all of the necessary things if you feel like cooking something or storing something in the refrigerator. Laundry machines are also available for a small fee. One downside to this hostel is that no towels are available. They do sell small hand towels for 150¥ if you forget to bring one.
Reino Inn is definitely a great deal for visitors to Hiroshima. There are mixed and female only dorms available as well as private rooms for a little more money. A five percent discount can be used for returning visitors to the hostel by showing the old key card from a previous visit to the Reino Inn. The dormitory room is 2,700¥, which isn’t that bad! With it’s close proximity to the Hiroshima Peace Park, Reino Inn really is the most affordable option for the convenience!
