Instructions
  1. In a colander, rinse the sushi rice and let set in water for an hour. Discard the water and add the rice and water into a rice cooker.
  2. In a small saucepan, add the rice vinegar, salt and sugar. Heat over medium low heat until the sugar has dissolved. Put aside to cool.
  3. Once rice is done, spread over a baking sheet. Evenly pour your liquid mixture over the rice and toss to coat. Toss rice occasionally to speed up the cooling process. Once cooled, it’s ready to roll!
  4. Grab your nori sheet and evenly spread rice thinly over it. Leave a one inch gap on one side.
  5. Put your fillings on the other end of your rice without the gap. Be sure not to overfill or rolling will be very difficult.
  6. Use your hand to firmly squeeze and roll the sheet until you reach the end. Using a knife dipped in hot water each time, cut your sushi roll into 8 pieces.
