I love sledding! Some of my favorite memories as a kid is going with my family to a park that was nearby our home to sled. There was a very steep hill there that all of us kids would sled on year after year. I haven’t been back in ages, but I guess it wouldn’t feel so steep anymore. I still love that feeling of sliding fast down a slope. This sounds crazy, but crashing at the bottom was fun too! Ah, to be a kid again. I’m an adult now but I’m still down for any sledding that comes my way. This winter I headed to Oak Valley Snow Park in Gangwondo to get my fix.
Oak Valley Snow Park is a pretty large and famous resort for winter activities. There are many places to stay there and you can ski and snowboard as well. When we were there the fun was in full force despite the lack of snow! It was freezing though.
Sledding was 12,000 for three hours and you better believe I took advantage of all three hours! It was a little tiring because you had to walk uphill to get back to the top each time and the slushy snow made it a little difficult. I thought it was adorable that they had a little hook that you could hook your tube on to slowly carry small kids and babies up the hill! Too bad they couldn’t have an adult version haha.
We had a ton of fun and it was totally worth it! I wish we had stayed longer because the skiing looked amazing. You could rent gear there for a reasonable price and even get training if you are a beginner. I’m so sad I won’t get a chance to go again next winter.
