It is the March Birchbox, Teen Vogue edition!
I was extremely thrilled with my Birchbox this month. Let us see why, shall we? 😀
I guess you can tell why I was positively thrilled when I opened my Birchbox. Two full sized products and a useful extra! The presentation just looks beautiful as well.
I became nail polish crazy recently and Essie has been my current favorite line of polishes. I just love their packages and their color selection. I just bought “Navigate Her” from their Spring collection and I love it. I was really happy that I received this glitter polish called “Set in Stones” from their new Luxeffects line. I prefer their chunky glitter polishes that were sent out in the boxes. There is a pink version of this polish as well, called “A Cut Above”.
I used this over “Canyon Coral” by Essie last week and I have to say, this top coat is extremely long lasting! I’ve never had my polish last this long. On the other hand, it was so hard to take off, as most glitter polishes. I’ll be using this sparingly in the future. But I was really impressed with its function as a topcoat!
Next, I received a full-sized lip tint from Tarte in Amused. I was super excited about this, however, I couldn’t get the cap off. I already have limited strength as it is, so I just eventually gave up and tossed it. I read that a lot of people had the same problem. Oh well. It is a shame because it was full sized and I heard good things about it! Even though Amused is a bright pink shade, it is supposed to be very sheer with a minty smell.
Next, I received this Mattifying Gel by Peter Roth. I was pretty excited about this one too, because I tend to get oily during the day and my bb cream isn’t as long lasting as I had hoped. I tried this out and it wasn’t that bad. I might buy this in full size, but I’m still on the look out.
Next I received this Annick Goutal fragrance in Petite Cherie. Yeah, yeah another fragrance but this one actually ended up being a super hit. I absolutely LOVE this fragrance. It is subtle and classy… perfect for someone who likes have a fresh scent that isn’t too strong. I’m seriously considering buying the full size of this when I run out of my current perfume.
The extra for this month was a Twistband hair tie. I liked this because it was actually useful; it also has an interesting design. These hair ties are pretty expensive at $10 for 6 hair bands. I don’t think I would buy this, but I liked receiving the hair tie in this month’s box.
Last but not least, we all received a $10 off coupon to Mod Cloth, when you spend at least $75. I actually love Mod Cloth, but most of their items are too expensive for my liking so I’ve never actually purchased anything. I won’t be using this coupon either I think. Most of their clothes run small anyways, so I would be worried about receiving something that didn’t fit and having that hassle. It was a nice gesture for people who love Mod Cloth though! I’m sure a lot of people were excited about this.
I’m pretty satisfied with my Birchbox this month. It definitely makes up for less than satisfactory months. It was too bad my Tarte didn’t work but the Essie was enough for me!
