I’ve never been good at leaving on vacation day. I’m sort of like a big baby near the end because I don’t want it to end. There is something so sad about the last day of vacation… maybe because I’m working in a job I don’t enjoy at the moment? Going back to work after having such a good time is a real bummer.
Even though I was feeling bummed on my last day at Jeongdongjin beach, I tried to make the most of it anyways. Thankfully the weather was really hot that day so it was perfect for swimming! There were only two other people on the beach and the weather was gorgeous. I seriously couldn’t stop looking at the water.
We grabbed some coffee and had some breakfast before heading out. We ended up finding an elementary school and fooled around on the playground for awhile, haha. The beach was totally open for us so we weren’t really in a rush. Everything was so close and the town was so small that any exploring we did didn’t last long.
We basically lounged around all day on the sand and occasionally jumped in the water. The waves were very strong so we couldn’t go too far in. The sun was blazing too… I wish we had one of those sun umbrellas. We just tried to stay in the cool water as much as possible.
There were a lot of rocks near the shore so we had a lot of fun climbing on them and taking epic pictures. My favorite one is the waves crashing around us on the rocks. We wanted to go out to the farthest rocks but the waves were very strong and we chickened out. Oh well.
Nothing better than chilling in the ocean… there is something so beautiful and calming about being in a large body of water. I love that feeling!
