My husband doesn’t really like sweets. If he does eat dessert though, he loves jello.
I’m not a fan of jello myself. Something about the texture throws me off. Cake however, I can totally eat! 😀
Hence, the jello cake. It is really simple actually. You bake any type of cake you want, leaving ample room in the pan above the cake. After it has baked, let it cool completely. Prick the surface of the cake and pour the prepared jello mixture on top. Stick it in the refrigerator until it solidifies. Then bam! Yummy goodness.
One of the stores here in town started carrying halal jello, so I just had to make this cake. 🙂 My husband still insists the ones in Egypt taste better, but until he goes back for a visit he is eating a ton of Ahmed Jello! I would recommend it for a try, it is interesting and makes a nice presentation!
