Since I live near a huge foreigner neighborhood, I’m totally spoiled with choice for western style food if the craving hits. I have to admit that sometimes I miss a big, juicy burger just like home! Fortunately for me, I have quite a few burger places nearby my place; Koreans like a good burger too apparently! I had heard good things about Jacoby’s Burger in Haebangchon, so off I went.
It was pretty crowded, and the music was seriously loud and obnoxious. It didn’t seem family friendly, but I did see some families dining together. I can’t imagine having a baby in such a loud and crowded environment. The servers weren’t particularly friendly, but that’s usually the norm around here in my experience. We didn’t have to wait for a table but later on there was such a huge line!
My friend ended up getting the garlic patty Original Jacoby’s Burger. It takes about 20 minutes to make your burger which is stated on the menu and wall. The thing was massive! There is no way someone can fit it in their mouth… we ended up chopping it and eating it like a salad. It tasted great! It was pricy at 12,000₩ so I wouldn’t go there often. If you add fries and a drink you would end up paying around 30,000₩ for a full meal. I don’t have that kind of cash so this is just a treat for me!
