Three months to go until I board that flight back home. This year in Korea has went by so fast. Now that my time is really down to the wire, I’m almost forcing myself to get out and do things no matter what. Some weekends I’m so tired, but I know I will regret it if I don’t go out and take advantage of the activities around me. It will be worth it in the end! I live fairly close to the Banpo area, so for a more relaxed outing I decided to go check out the Banpo Bridge Rainbow Fountain with my friend.
We got really lucky because we got there when it wasn’t that crowded. We were able to sit our mat down right in front of the Han River so we had an amazing view of the show. We prepared some food so it was a night time picnic! The Banpo Bridge Rainbow Fountain does it’s show about every 30 minutes at night so we didn’t have to wait that long for it to start.
We enjoyed a great dinner by the river but honestly the river was the best part. The show played some cheesy pop music while the water sprayed in different colors. It wasn’t as interesting as I thought it would be. At least I can say that I saw the longest bridge fountain in the world? It wasn’t a loss though, we had a great time chatting and eating next to the water.
It’s still has a great atmosphere to go and spend some time with friends or family. I go down there every once in awhile to sit and eat dinner. It makes it a little special and I feel like I’ve done something. I don’t have anything like the Han River so close to me back home… I’m definitely going to miss it.
